
Following initial engagements in December 2025, the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) participated in a follow-up stakeholder meeting this month at Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort, to advance ongoing discussions on safety and security within the tourism sector.
In attendance, were Commissioner of Police Verne Garde and members of the senior leadership of RSLPF, representatives of the Saint Lucia Hospitality and Tourism Association (SLHTA), a delegation from the Ministry of Tourism led by Dr. Ernest Hilaire, Parliamentary Representative for Soufriere Honourable Emma Hippolyte, the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, the Community Tourism Agency, and the National Youth Council.

The RSLPF provided a comprehensive briefing outlining current security operations, strategic interventions, and planned initiatives aimed at strengthening safety measures across the island.
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force reaffirms its unwavering commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for both residents and visitors, and will continue to work closely with stakeholders to safeguard the integrity and sustainability of Saint Lucia’s tourism product.
