Saint Lucian soca artiste Ricky T has just wrapped up a string of regional and international bookings that saw him take his soca talents to Mas Dominik in Dominica before making his way to London and Canada.
One of those was a TikTok livestream appearance on British DJ and TikTok livestream pioneer DJ AG’s London platform. The DJ, whose real name is Ashley Gordon, comes from Tottenham in London. He first built momentum hosting TikTok Live sessions from his home studio before taking his concept to the streets of London where he sets up his sound system across different locations and livestreams open-format DJ sets that organically blended music, public interaction and surprise celebrity appearances.
His platform has featured global stars including Will Smith, Ciara, Burna Boy and Kes and reinforces his reputation as one of the UK’s most culturally influential DJs. In 2024, he was named Time Out’s Londoner of the Year for transforming public spaces into cultural stages and building an unprecedented digital music community.
With over 1 million followers on TikTok and 800,000+ followers on Instagram, DJ AG’s reach spans both physical crowds and massive online audiences. Ricky T’s appearance at the Brixton stop on Friday, February 20 was alongside Ari Lennox, Layyaah, Mimi Mxnroe and Delleile. Earlier in the day Ricky T had appeared with Dennery Segment artist Mighty on BBC1Extra – he had Mighty accompany him on the livestream – both making their grand entrance holding Saint Lucia’s flag.
In summer 2026, DJ AG will take a major step forward with a large-scale festival event, marking his evolution from livestream DJ to event curator and cultural architect.
Of the appearance, DJ AG said “Not only did this showcase the Caribbean powerhouse performer Ricky T is during Saint Lucia’s Independence weekend, it also connected Caribbean soca culture directly to a UK and global digital audience, positioned Ricky T on a platform that extends far beyond the traditional carnival circuit and reinforced my commitment to showcase talent across genres, from Afrobeats to Soca to Hip Hop and beyond.”
For Ricky T, the appearance continued his commitment to have Saint Lucia music and its artistes featured in all corners of the globe.
“I’ve been representing my country everywhere I go for the past 20 years and nothing will keep me from that mission,” he said.
Posted online the day after it was live, the Ricky T performance has already amassed 50,000+ views across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, with viewership continuing to climb proving both the strength of Ricky T’s fanbase and the power of AG’s platform.
This wasn’t just a feature; it was cultural exchange in real time.
Fans can catch the full performance online on YouTube and TikTok.
The performance remains available across DJ AG’s digital platforms, allowing both Caribbean and UK audiences to relive the moment.
Ricky T will next head to Jamaica where he is putting the finishing touches on a musical project before making his way home to get ready for Lucian Carnival.
