In the early minutes, Monchy missed several chances before Gros Islet struck first through Mekhi Stanislaus, followed by a second goal from Samiel Louisien as Monchy struggled to find their rhythm. As the second half unfolded, Monchy had to make several substitutions due to injuries, yet they rallied back with determination.

The talented Troy “Eto” Greenidge pulled one back, and shortly after, he equalized, taking advantage of the Young Lions’ reduced squad when their goalkeeper was ejected.

Despite intense offensive efforts from both sides, neither team could find the net again.

In a nail-biting penalty shootout, the Young Lions prevailed, winning 5-4.

Earlier in the day, Kerdim Agdomar scored an own goal that gave Northern United a narrow 1-0 victory over New Generation.

With several players on the Youth team being former members of Northern United, the stage is set for an intriguing battle between the youth and their senior counterparts.

In the meantime, Monchy will compete against New Generation for third place.
