Auguste scored 48 off 26 balls, while Leo finished with 55 off 38 balls. Key contributions from Johnnel Eugene and Shadrack Descarte solidified the win, with Eugene remaining unbeaten on 51. Jaden Elibox sealed the victory with a six.
SVG struggled after opting to bat, with Sunil Ambris out for 13. Keron Cottoy and Desron Maloney added 59 runs, but pressure from Saint Lucia’s bowlers, led by Keon Gaston’s impressive 5 for 45, led to SVG’s downfall.
DSCG – Dominica vs Grenada
Dominica: 354 for 5 (50 overs)
Grenada: 229 all out (36.1 overs)
Dominica secured a convincing 119-run victory over Grenada at the DSCG, featuring half-centuries from Stephan Pascal (79), Alick Athanaze (91), and Kavem Hodge (77).
Both teams were looking for redemption after losing their opening matches, with Grenada having lost to Saint Lucia and Dominica to St. Vincent & the Grenadines.
After winning the toss, Dominica batted first and posted an impressive 354 for 5. Key partnerships included 82 runs for the opening wicket and a 114-run stand between Athanaze and Hodge. Late contributions from Earsinho Fontaine (14 off 9) and Gian Benjamin (27 off 13) bolstered the total.
Grenada’s chase was affected by rain, leading to a revised target of 349. Despite a 70-run second-wicket partnership between Johann Jeremiah and Teddy Bishop (64), Grenada could only reach 229, with Darron Nedd adding 39.
Dominica’s bowling, led by Kavem Hodge’s 3 for 41, proved too much for Grenada.
