Exciting football action continues this weekend it what promises to be a weekend featuring many goals. That would be a continuation of the midweek action at the Desruisseaux Playing Field.
On Wednesday, Mon Repos came up against Roseau in what was expected to have the crowd talking. Mon Repos went two goals up through Mitchum Francis {16} and Raheem Estaphane {39} before Omari Joseph of Roseau pulled one back just before the break to register a 2-1 scoreline at half time. The second half saw Roseau come out inspired and blazing and in the 59th minute, through Gimel Rene, found their equalizer. However, that was short-lived as Andreas Charlery blasted a brace to secure all three points for Mon Repos, scoring in the 66th and 84th.
The evening’s second match was another goal fest between Babonneau and Desruisseaux. Babonneau opened the scoring through Lee Edward in the 17th minute only for Dwight Pruedhome to equalize 17 minutes later. At the break it seemed almost a readymade stalemate, however the heat was turned on after the break with Babonneau again finding the back of the net first through Rohan Lambert {48}. That seemed to have incentivized Desruisseaux, going on a five-goal haul with Pruedhome registering a hattrick in the process. Babonneau’s Nathan Weeks would score the last goal of the match in the 84th minute before it ended 6-3 in favour of the home team.
Friday’s fixture ready Anse La Raye verses Marchand which promises to be a evenly matched encounter while the evening’s main event will see Central Castries face La Clery, a repeat of last years finals, which saw La Clery come out eventual Champions.

Saturday’s matches have been postponed but action resumes on Sunday with South Castries meeting Canaries and Mabouya Valley coming up against a well oiled Vieux Fort South. This weekend’s matches are scheduled for the La Ressource Playing Field, in Dennery.
