Saint Lucian Swimmers Achieve 5th Place in Goodwill Meet

After three days of exhilarating events, the 29th Goodwill Swim Meet concluded in Barbados on Sunday, showcasing the impressive performance of Saint Lucian athletes in a fiercely contested competition.

The standings for Team Saint Lucia are as follows:

1 Silver | 2 Bronze
5th place overall out of 10 countries with a total of 294 points
Numerous personal best times achieved across all age groups

An official from the Saint Lucia Aquatics Federation (SLAF) declared, “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our swimmers, coaches, team managers, chaperones, traveling parents, and all supporters online who were with Team Saint Lucia every step of the way!”

The Boys 8 & Under relay team—Keyanno Elibox, Louis Gardener, Liam Charlemagne, and Andrew Charlemagne—proudly earned their bronze medals for their outstanding performance in the 4x50m medley relay event.

Their teamwork and determination deserve a well-deserved celebration!

In Day 2 highlights, Maya Andrew (Girls 11–12) confidently secured silver in the 100m breaststroke with a strong finish of 1:26.19, improving her time and adding to her bronze from Day 1.

Congratulations to Team Bahamas for seizing the overall championship title! The SLAF emphasized, “Let’s continue to celebrate our swimmers’ achievements and encourage them as they build a stronger future.”
