
Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre is dedicated to boosting the island’s economy with a $350,000 investment aimed at stimulating the creative industry, which will create more job opportunities, while also highlighting the provision of additional employment opportunities in the country.
He announced that KM2 Solutions, located at Orange Grove, is expanding its operations and will create an additional 300 new jobs, with the potential to reach 1,000 jobs upon project completion.
PM Pierre highlighted that KM2 Solutions began its journey in Saint Lucia in 2004 through the Helen IT franchise under the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) initiative. He expressed gratitude towards Linford and Valerie Fevrier (deceased) for their pioneering work in the business and acknowledged that their efforts, alongside government support, led to the establishment of Helen IT.
“The Feviers were the first locals to directly engage in this sector, which later evolved into KM2 Solutions, now recognized as one of the region’s leading BPO firms operating in Saint Lucia,” PM Pierre stated during a recent media briefing.
He further stated, “By the end of this year, we will see over 1,000 young people employed in BPO roles,” emphasizing his administration’s vision for growth within the IT sector.
KM2 Solutions is a prominent nearshore BPO company located in Rodney Bay, St. Lucia, where it conducts job fairs and operates its office on the First Floor of Karlione Court. The company excels in providing customer care, sales, support, and back-office services to clients across various sectors, and it has significantly expanded its footprint in St. Lucia, creating thousands of jobs.
With a strong presence in St. Lucia as one of its key Caribbean locations, KM2 Solutions delivers top-notch business outsourcing services and operations consulting.
Additionally, the Prime Minister announced that Baron Foods, an agro-producer in Saint Lucia, is set to make a $20 million investment to expand its product line while creating synergies between agriculture and tourism.
PM Pierre praised Baron Foods for its strategic manufacturing approach and commitment to the Saint Lucian economy, emphasizing their confidence in the country’s future.
He also detailed investments in luxury real estate projects by Harbor Club and A’ILA Resorts & Spa, highlighting Saint Lucia’s involvement in a multi-million-dollar eco-tourism initiative and a residence at Marquis Estate, all of which point to increased jobs and investment in the economy.
Assessing the country’s economic landscape, PM Pierre affirmed, “We are witnessing an expansion in services, manufacturing, and tourism sectors.”
He underscored the importance of Saint Lucia’s participation in Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, themed :“Designing Future Society for Our Lives.”
PM Pierre described the Expo as “one of the largest international events,” bringing together over 150 countries and millions of visitors. He reported that the Saint Lucian Pavilion has attracted more than 1 million visitors, promoting the nation’s history, products, fashion, and arts, while celebrating Olympic Champion Julien Alfred, recognized as the fastest woman in the world.
On Saint Lucia Day, August 30, the exhibition will feature an official ceremony, a cultural parade, a fashion showcase by local designers, and a major concert, “Rhythms of Iyanola,” starring top local performers.
PM Pierre declared, “These are significant developments taking place in our country, and I am enthusiastic about what lies ahead.”
