Once celebrated as the ‘Voice of the Nation’ for its inclusive programming of local content, Radio Saint Lucia, now re-branded as Saint Lucia FM, is making a powerful comeback.
Starting August 1st, Emancipation Day, the heartbeat of Saint Lucia airwaves on 97.3FM is officially back under the re-imagined Saint Lucia FM radio broadcast station.
Saint Lucia FM is poised to inform, educate, uplift, and entertain listeners. Having begun online broadcasting in 2023, the station is now ready to take over the 97.3 FM frequency.
Under the tagline “Your radio, your voice,” Saint Lucia FM is committed to airing 100 percent local music, national events, discussions on government policy, and programming that resonates with all Saint Lucians.

Minister of Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture, and Information, Dr. Ernest Hilaire, underscores the essential role of a national radio station for the people of Saint Lucia. He emphasizes that Saint Lucia FM will actively support and celebrate local talent, ensuring that the station reflects “our voice, our culture, and our creativity.”
The comeback on the 97.3FM frequency is made possible through a strategic partnership with the Helen Television System (HTS). This collaboration allows Saint Lucia FM to utilize the established infrastructure of the media company, ensuring a seamless transition toward full autonomy in future developments.
The decision to partner with a reputable media entity was driven by the urgent need to restore 97.3FM to the airwaves quickly. This alliance guarantees that the beloved public broadcasting station will swiftly resume its role as the primary voice for the community.
Saint Lucia FM will be a reliable source for news and information, particularly during natural disasters, reinforcing its position as a vital lifeline in times of national need.
The station’s public service mandate ensures that accurate, timely, and potentially life-saving information reaches every Saint Lucian household when it matters most.
Initially, operating an automated 4-hour weekly loop as part of Phase 1, Saint Lucia FM will also broadcast live during all major national events. Future phases will see the station develop into a fully-fledged broadcast entity with dedicated staff and state-of-the-art equipment.
Saint Lucia FM—The Nation’s Pulse on 97.3FM is also accessible on the myTunerRadio app.
