A new executive has been decisively selected to lead the Saint Lucia Mixed Martial Arts Federation (SLMMA) for the next three years.

The announcement was made during the recent launch of the Saint Lucia Invitational Combat Sports Festival on August 26, where Federation President Macorliff Duvigneau officially introduced the formidable eight-member team that will steer the organization through 2028.

Duvigneau unequivocally affirmed the Federation’s commitment to elevating Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) as a dynamic and respected sport across the island.

“My committee and I have diligently worked behind the scenes to position MMA at the forefront of Saint Lucia’s alternative sporting community,” he stated.

He further declared, “We’ve revamped the Federation’s branding to transform it into a symbol of pride, one that our top-performing athletes can wear with honor on the international stage.”

The new executive team is resolute in expanding MMA’s reach throughout Saint Lucia, with clear ambitions for local athletes to compete and win at regional and international levels.

This vision is firmly supported by strategic partnerships with key national institutions, including the Ministry of Youth Development and Sport, the Ministry of Tourism, the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, and Forest Springs.

These alliances will significantly enhance athlete development, increase visibility for the sport, and integrate MMA into Saint Lucia’s broader tourism and youth engagement strategies. The dynamic new executive team comprises eight dedicated individuals, each bringing invaluable expertise to the Federation.

At the helm is President Macorliff Duvigneau, reinforced by Vice President Thierry Augustine. Hayle Harvey serves both as General Secretary and Treasurer, ensuring streamlined administrative and financial operations.

Jeremy Martin assumes the role of Technical Director, while Mandalee Mason expertly oversees communications as the Public Relations Officer.

Marketing initiatives are aggressively led by Danny Augustine and Zoe Andall-Bowen, who share the responsibilities as Marketing Officers.

Championing the athletes’ interests is Jeremy Charles, the Athletes’ Representative.

As the Federation accelerates forward, athletes, coaches, and supporters are urged to engage actively and help shape the future of MMA on the island.
