Saint Lucia proudly hosts the 4th Annual Caribcation Carnival Rugby 7’s on August 1-2 at the Gros Islet Mini Stadium.

This year, we welcome 14 formidable teams from powerhouse nations, including Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Martinique, Canada, and the United States.

The match-ups will showcase fierce competition and elite-level play, featuring talent that has excelled in World Rugby Qualifiers and Rugby Americas North stages.

Saint Lucia will compete in four divisions: Elite Men, Elite Women, Youth Males, and Youth Females.

The Youth Male division, which has emerged from the highly successful “Get Into Rugby” school initiative, highlights promising athletes from both the northern and southern communities, including Cherquain St. Croix, Zidan Aubert, Benerrero Wellington, and Yantez Jn Baptiste.

With a strong partnership between the Saint Lucia Rugby Football Union (SLRFU) and the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, this tournament goes beyond just wins and medals; it positions us as a leader in sport tourism excellence.

Beyond the field, this event immerses visiting teams in the vibrant pulse of Saint Lucia’s Carnival, featuring music, cuisine, warmth, and celebration.

Teams are set to compete for USD 12,000 in cash prizes.

Anchored by the slogan “Come to Saint Lucia Carnival and play rugby,” this event combines athletic prowess with festive brilliance.

It is not just a tournament; it is a movement that invites athletes and fans to explore a sporting paradise nestled within a cultural dream.
