On Saturday, March 15, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the Vieux-Fort Police Station received a complaint of a vehicle collision on the St. Jude Highway. The collision killed one individual.
Investigators arrived at the scene and discovered an accident involving two vehicles and five individuals, all of whom were injured. Members of the Saint Lucia Fire Service also responded. The injured people were taken to St. Jude Hospital.
One of the occupants, 45-year-old Glenda Michael of Augier, Vieux-Fort, eventually died from her injuries and was pronounced dead by a doctor.
