Assignment Title: Selection of an Individual to Provide Service as a Technical Assistant Officer

Saint Lucia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Renewable Energy Sector Development Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.

The consulting services (ā€œthe Servicesā€) include provision of technical support with the implementation of the technical activities of the Project.

The Consultant is expected to be engaged on a full-time basis over a 1-year period.

The Department of Infrastructure, Ports and Transport now invites eligible consultants (ā€œConsultantsā€) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are:

1. Academic Requirements

ā€¢ A Bachelorsā€™ degree in Engineering, or Natural Science, or an Applied Science;

2. Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements

ā€¢ A minimum of 3 yearsā€™ work experience in the field of Engineering, or Natural Science, or an Applied Science;

ā€¢ Demonstrate working knowledge of Project Management.

ā€¢ Demonstrate competency in analytical report writing skills;

ā€¢ Demonstrate competency in oral and written communication skills;

ā€¢ Demonstrate competency in analytical and problem-solving skills;

ā€¢ Demonstrate ability to promote and manage effective working relations with stakeholders;

ā€¢ Demonstrate excellent planning and time management skills;

ā€¢ Be competent in the use of Microsoft Office suite applications.

ā€¢ Training or educational background in geothermal energy would be an asset.

A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the selection of Individual Consultants method set out in the World Bankā€™s Procurement Regulations for Investment Project Financing Borrowers – November 2020.
