Leading insurance service provider Sagicor Life (Eastern Caribbean) Limited, is pleased to announce a generous donation of school supplies to RISE Saint Lucia, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting youth in need. This donation aims to equip selected students with essential school supplies as they begin the new academic year.
Part of the supplies including backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils, and other necessary items to 40 students and parents who will be identified by RISE. These supplies will directly benefit RISE Saint Lucia’s programmes, which serve students from low-income families and ensure they have the tools they need to succeed in school.
“We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their financial situation,” said Eon Phillips, Assistant Vice President, EC Insurance Operations and Branch Manager. “By partnering with RISE Saint Lucia, we are investing in the future of our community and helping to remove barriers to education for these deserving students. We’re pleased to continue our relationship with RISE Saint Lucia, which began in 2021 and has developed since then as we also have worked with them to distribute hampers to support deserving families at Christmas time. Venus Cherry and his team have developed great networks throughout St Lucia and it has been a pleasure working with them.”
For its part, RISE Saint Lucia has a long history of empowering young people through education, mentorship, and support services. The organization’s Chairman, Venus Cherry expressed gratitude for the donation, stating, “This generous contribution from Sagicor will make a significant difference in the lives of the students we serve. With these supplies, our students will be better prepared to focus on their studies and achieve their academic goals.”
