On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at approximately 9:22 p.m., the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) began investigating a report of a missing person. The individual was identified as six-year-old Nehki Poleon, a resident of Ciceron, Castries. He was last seen by one of his parents at school around 8:30 a.m. that same day. Further investigations revealed that Nehki was last observed near his home at about 4:00 p.m.
CID investigators continued their search, which led to the tragic discovery of Nehki’s lifeless body in a body of water near his residence on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at approximately 9:10 a.m.
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) is thoroughly investigating the circumstances surrounding Nehki Poleon’s death.
