Saint Lucia’s Senior National cricket team captain and former Windies U-19 skipper Kimani Melius has joined the Bangla Tigers Joburg for the second season of the Zim Afro T10 league.
This tournament forms part of Zimbabwe’s exciting T10 cricket league and is managed by T Ten Sports. The league has garnered attention for its fast paced and thrilling encounters and this year’s edition is set to be even bigger and better.
Six teams will feature in the tournament namely: Harare Bolts, Bulawayo Braves Jaguars, Durban Wolves, Cape Town Samp Army, NY Strikers Lagos, Jo’Burg Bangla Tigers. The ongoing tournament, runs from September 21 to 29, and all matches will be played at the Harare Sports Club.
Melius is expected to rub shoulders with players such as Kusal Perera and former Kings teammate Sikander Raza among other top-ranked players.
The team includes cricketers from around the world including England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and South Africa.
The Saint Lucia National Cricket Association wishes Melius the best in this tournament and “we hope that it will be a sign of continued international experience.”
