Affiliates of the Saint Lucia Football Association [SLFA] Inc. are due to attend a CONCACAF Comet Training programme, at the Bay Gardens Hotel Conference, in Rodney Bay, Gros Islet, today (Wednesday).
Two CONCACAF Staff members – Leanne Lopez, Professional Football Development Administrator and Cristhian Tonelli, Professional Football Development Special Projects Manager will facilitate the workshop for the 19-member affiliate representatives.
Meanwhile, the Henry Charles Commonwealth Legacy Football League has requested the SLFA’s support in planning the launch of the Commonwealth Cup. The tournament is scheduled for October 12 at the Mindoo Phillip Park , starting from 9.00 a.m.
The Organising Committee has planned to stage two football matches in the programme. These exhibition matches will contribute to the legacy of Henry Charles who was passionate about youth development in the region.
Consequently, the SLFA Inc have proposed that the winners of the 2023 Under 10 and Under 17 Boys Championship – Black Panthers to participate in the exhibition matches.
