Export Saint Lucia (ESL), in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and the Saint Lucia Hospitality and Tourism Association (SLHTA), is excited to announce its inaugural B2B Tourism Expo themed “Building Connections and Linkages: A Taste of Saint Lucia.”
Scheduled for October 3, this event aims to strengthen the bonds between local manufacturers and Saint Lucia’s vibrant tourism sector. The Expo will offer numerous opportunities for collaboration, enabling local producers to present their products and services to key industry stakeholders.
In celebration of World Tourism Day on September 27, the SLHTA recently joined the Ministry of Tourism’s tree-planting initiative in Malgretoute, Micoud.
During this initiative, hundreds of fruit-bearing trees were planted with goals to:
- Protect the environment and preserve biodiversity
- Support food security in rural areas
- Enhance sustainable livelihoods on the South East Coast
- Foster social partnerships between tourism stakeholders and the local community
The SLHTA was represented by its Secretariat team, along with guests and staff from member companies including Bay Gardens Resorts, Sandals Grande St. Lucian, Sea Spray Cruises, Solar Tours and Travel, and Foster and Ince Cruise Services.
The SLHTA expressed its gratitude to the Ministry of Tourism and all participants for contributing to the success of this important initiative.
