The Eastern Caribbean Collective Organisation for Music Rights (ECCO) recently concluded a Strategic Planning Workshop and Retreat for its Board members and staff.

ECCO has been critically evaluating its operations to better serve its members, with goals including expanding its membership base and increasing revenue.

Chief Executive Officer Martin James highlighted that a key objective of the retreat was to reassess the organization’s mission, vision, and core values. He emphasized the importance of intensifying the education campaign on music rights for its members.

Chairman Bruno Leonce also attended the retreat, stressing the significance of incorporating input from the Board and ECCO members in shaping the organization’s future direction. He underscored the need for ECCO to stay updated with music industry developments and maintain a competitive edge.

During the two-day retreat, participants reviewed ECCO’s current financial situation, analyzed its strengths and weaknesses, and began drafting a plan of action to ensure the organization’s continued resilience.

The retreat was facilitated by Dr. Erica Smith, a consultant from Intellectual Management Services.
