
Some adjustments have been made to the Lucian Carnival Calendar as a result of the passage of Hurricane Beryl. Here are the new dates for events this weekend:
o Inter-Commercial Calypso Competition will now be held on Friday July 5th, from 6pm at the National Culltural Centre, making it the perfect after-work lime.
o Groovy & Power Soca Monarch Competition will now be held on Saturday July 6th, from 8pm at the SAB, Vigie.
o Junior Parade of the Bands will remain on Sunday, July 7th. The parade will begin at Serenity Park from 11 am.
o Republic Bank National Panorama Competition will remain on Sunday 7th from 8pm at the SAB, Vigie.
o King and Queen of the Bands will remain on Monday July 8th from 8pm at the SAB, Vigie.
o Calypso Monarch Competition will now be held on Saturday July 13th from 8pm at the SAB, Vigie.
o Mas in the City will be held from Wednesday, July 10th, to Friday, July 12th
o J’Ouvert will remain on Monday, July 15th.
o Parade of the Bands will remain on Monday, July 15th, and Tuesday, July 16th.
1. Inter-Commercial Calypso Competition
o Inter – Commercial Calypso will be held this Friday, July 5 at the National Cultural Centre
o The show starts at 6 pm, making it the best Carnival after-work lime.
o The companies participating in this year’s Inter-Commercial Calypso competition listed in order of appearance are:

o The artistes will go against defending monarchs, Arthur Allain, for the Groovy Soca Monarch title, and Imran Nerdy for the Power Soca Monarch.

3. Junior Carnival – Sunday, July 7
• Junior Carnival climaxes with the annual Junior Carnival Parade, after a packed season of activities including National Schools Calypso Monarch, Schools Panorama Festival, and the Schools Tour.
• The parade will begin at Serenity Park from 10 am
• 10 bands will be participating in this year’s parade

4. Republic Bank National Panorama Competition – Sunday July 7

• There will be a display of over 18 King and Queen of the Band costumes.
• Patrons will also enjoy performances DYP and top Saint Lucian Soca and Dennery Segment artistes.
6. National Calypso Monarch
• Date: Saturday, July 13
• Time: 8 pm
• Venue: SAB, Vigie
• Competing Calypsonians will go against the defending monarch; Ti-Blacks.
• This year’s competition features 6 former monarchs: Dezral, Educator, Menell, Solange, TC Brown, and Ti Carro.

7. J’Ouvert
• J’ouvert starts off the parade for Lucian Carnival.
• The parade will begin from 4 am from the SAAB in Vigie, and at Bananes Bay.
• The full parade route and list of J’ouvert Bands will be distributed in the coming days.
8. Parade of the Bands
• Lucian Carnival culminates in two days of revelry on Monday, July 15, and on Tuesday, July 16.
• 11 bands have been confirmed for the 2024 Parade of the Bands
• The parade will begin from Choc, Castries and go through the city and return to Choc
• Parade of the Bands will commence from 10 am on Monday, July 15, and 11 am on Tuesday, July 16.
