Kaiso Monarch contest will be on tomorrow(Saturday) as the carnival festivities for the season heats up this weekend.
The National Calypso Monarch title is at stake, and the Junior Carnival parade is on its way, so mark your calendar and be part of the festive atmosphere.

Today, ten calypsonians will vie for the National Calypso Monarch title, and the weekend will continue with the Junior Carnival parade on Sunday. The Junior Carnival parade, comes off from 10.00a.m., at the Serenity Park to Castries City.
The contenders come up against defending Monarch Ti Blacks, and includes six (6) former monarchs; Dezral, Educator, Menell, Solange, TC Brown, and Ti Carro. The other competitors are Gamtion, Herb Black and Mica.

The bands participating in this year’s parade include: Fuzion Mas, Insommiel, Island Tribe, Just 4 Fun, Legends, Phoenix Carnival, Royalties Xtreme, Southern Invasion, Tribe of Twel, Xpressionz, and Xuvo.
The Parade of Bands begins from Choc, Castries, and goes through the city and returns to Choc.
