
On June 28, 2024, at approximately 2:40 a.m., the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) recovered a firearm and ammunition in Mon Repos.
An off-duty police officer conducted a search of a male suspect, leading to the discovery and seizure of a firearm containing ten rounds of ammunition. The suspect, identified as twenty-three-year-old Jay Collymore from Over the Bridge, Dennery, was arrested for possession of the firearm and ammunition.
The Micoud Police Station initiated an investigation, resulting in Jay Collymore being charged with firearm and ammunition possession. He was subsequently escorted to the Magistrate’s Court, where bail was granted in the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars (XCD25,000.00) in cash, suitable surety, or land documents.
