9 from Seajays Swim Club at 32nd Annual ACI Invitational in Barbados

Nine swimmers from the Seajays Swim Club are currently competing in the 32nd Annual ACI Invitational at Widley, Barbados. The four-day swim meet began on Thursday ,May 23 and continues until Sunday, May 26.

The team includes CARIFTA swimmers Noah Dorville and Jayden Xu, Miles and Maya Andrew, Amia and Anya Sadoo, Sapphire Parks, Aniya George and James Sylvester. The swimmers will be in the company of Head Coach Brian Charles, Team Manager Denise Parks along with the swimmers’ parents.

A Seajays club official said, the swimmers are all excited and hopeful to give their very best and to represent their club in ‘Seajays fashion’.

The nine swimmers recently competed in the Saint Lucia Aquatics Federation (SLAF) National Meet, which was held last weekend, at the Rodney Heights Aquatic Centre. The athletes were dominant in their respective races and helped Seajays to secure victory.

The two-day championship was a display of top performances from swimmers who participated in various age groups including 8 and under, 9-10, 11 -12, 13-14, 15, and over (male/female).

Seajays Swim Club (Men’s 722 points) and Sharks Swim Club (Women’s 499 points) took top honors.

Final points standings combined (male/female) 1st place – Seajays Swim Club 1278, 2nd place – Sharks Swim Club 1078, 3rd place – Lightning Aquatics Swim Club 1023, 4th place- Southern Flying Fish 342, 5th place – RR Aquatic Swim Club 200 and 6th place – Rodney Heights Aquatic Club 92.
