A 33-year-old male is the latest homicide victim on the island.
According to law enforcement officers, in this latest incident, an unresponsive male (Darrel Craige Deterville) was discovered in a stationary motor vehicle, with apparent gunshot wounds to his body, early Tuesday morning at about 6:20 a.m. in Vigie.
He was pronounced dead on the scene by a medical practitioner.
Meanwhile, on Monday (April, 8) about 8:42 p.m., police proceeded to Aux Lyon, Dennery where a male victim was discovered with gunshot wounds to his body.
The man identified as Asha Nelson, 37, of Montego Bay, Aux Lyon, Dennery was conveyed to the Owen King European Union (OKEU) Hospital where he was pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.
On Monday (April 8) about 7:00 a.m., the Vieux Fort police reported the shooting death of Ricardo Wilson, 24, alias “Go Fast”, a resident of Bruceville, Vieux Fort. He was reportedly gunned down on Commercial Street, Vieux Fort, where the officers found the victim with an apparent gunshot wound to his body.
He was conveyed to the St. Jude Hospital via ambulance and was later pronounced dead by a medical practitioner at the facility.
On Sunday, (April 7) about 10:20 p.m., police officers attached to the Babonneau Police Station responded to a homicide at Paix Bouche, Babonneau. One male victim was discovered with lacerations to his face and arms, according to a press release.
The individual was pronounced dead on the scene by a medical practitioner and has not been formally identified.
Investigations are ongoing into this homicide.
Reports indicate the county has recorded 28 homicides for the year.
