A Vieux Fort man is the island’s latest homicide victim.
Reports state that on Tuesday (April 16) about 6:10 a.m., police officers visited the scene of a crime that occurred in Bruceville, Vieux Fort.
The body of Antonio Christian Theodore, 38, a resident of Bruceville, was discovered with apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene by a medical practitioner.
Meanwhile, last Thursday (April 11), law enforcement officers conducted a joint operation which focused on various communities within Northern and Central Divisions, including Grass Street, Odsan, Bagatelle, Bisee, Careille, Marigot and Anse La Raye.
The operation involved the execution of Warrants to Search for Property, patrols, and traffic operations aimed at ensuring public safety and law enforcement.
During the operation, law enforcement officials discovered and seized one sixteen Gauge Shotgun which was found in Anse La Raye. No arrests have been made following this discovery.
Four motorists were issued tickets for traffic violations.
