POLICE officers attached to the Soufriere Police Station last Saturday formally charged Francis Pascal of Fond Benier, Soufriere for the offences of Assault, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition.
It was on Monday March 11, 2024, about 7:15 p.m. when officers arrested the thirty-four-year-old male, in possession of a firearm and ammunition while at Fond Benier, Soufriere. During the course of his arrest, he sustained a gunshot injury. He is currently receiving medical care, and is reported to be in a stable condition.
A Smith and Wesson pistol and one magazine containing one .40 round of ammunition was recovered on his person.
Investigations are ongoing in this matter.
