Four years after her brutal murder, Stephanie Thomas’ killer/s is yet to be found. Today, on what would have been her 25th birthday, Thomas is remembered once again.
Thomas (who was 22 at the time of her death) was discovered in a decomposed state at Pigeon Island on January 23rd, 2021.
That same year a well-placed source told The VOICE that since Thomas’ organs were so badly decomposed there was “great difficulty” in ascertaining a cause of death.
In April of that same year police confirmed that DNA samples taken from a young woman’s remains were that of Thomas’. A fact that haunts family members to this day.
Days before, what would have been her 25th birthday, the young woman’s father (Robertson Henry), in an interview said that the individual/s who’s responsible for his daughter’s death will have to face their own conscience one day.
“We cannot even wish her happy birthday,” he said.
Family members are now forced to live with this reality.
“I don’t know when I might be able to deal with that fully but it’s not an easy thing,” said Henry.
According to him, “I have spoken to the police a number of times and they are hoping that somehow somebody will come forward.”
