Marine Unit Displays Skills in Castries Harbour

As part of the activities held to celebrate Saint Lucia’s 45 th Independence Anniversary, officers from the Marine Unit of the Royal St Lucia Police Force [RSLPF] gave a thrilling show of skills in the Castries Harbour, earlier this week.

Government officials headed by Prime Minster Philp J Pierre and accompanied by Commissioner of Police Crusita Descartes-Pelius and other RSLP officersand  scores of primary school students and other onlookers, enjoyed the display  at the Castries Waterfront.

It was a fun and exciting day for everyone, particularly the students who cheered enthusiastically at the manoeuvres of  the marine unit of the RSLPF. The four marine vessels meticulously cutting across the waters of the harbor, send wave after wave of sea spray in the direction of the onlookers, thrilling the students in particular.

Later, a small group including PM Pierre and COP Descartes- Pelius boarded one of the vessels for a brief tour across the harbour before they (vessels) departed to loud cheers and applause from onlookers.
