This weekend, nearly 50 swimmers from three local clubs will open their 2024 season in Martinique.
According to the Saint Lucia Aquatics Federation [SLAF] spokesperson, Claude Sufrin, the two-day meet is being hosted by Longvilliers club du Lamentin at Centre Aquatique Communitaire – Pierre Samot.
The SLAF views this as an early opportunity for Saint Lucian swimmers to test their mettle and compete in the (50m) format, ahead of the first domestic competition later this month.
The Saint Lucian contingent to Martinique includes 20 swimmers from Sharks Swim Club St. Lucia, 18 from Sea Jays Legends Swim Club, and seven (7) from Lightning Aquatics Swim Club.
The SLAF wishes swimmers all the best this coming weekend!
