On Tuesday this week, primary school athletes participated in a 3-kilometer road race organized by the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports.
The participants included 350 boys and girls, competing in the Under 11 and 13 categories. The runners followed a route around the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground [DSCG] and WASCO Treatment Plant, and the race ended at the Saint Lucia Sports Academy.
Keddani Plante and Aniyah George won the Under 13 Boys’ and Girls’ categories, respectively.
Kem Deterville and Hadassah Jules emerged as the winners in the Under 11 Boys’ and Girls’ categories.
The Intra-Secondary Road Race, marking the end of the 2023 sports season was due to be held, on Thursday (December 7).
