EAGER participants gathered at the Rodney Bay Marina, last Friday, in anticipation for the launch of the Digicel Christmas promotion.
This year, Digicel’s loyal clientele have waited with bated breaths for the ‘Bigger LTE’ network, unveiling of its package deals and especially the grand prize to be displayed.
And this approaching Yuletide season, is no exception, as Digicel pulled out all the stops for its 2023 Christmas promotion, under the theme: “Gifting You More Than Ever Before.”
In addition to affording customers an opportunity to hop on Santa’s Sleigh for a chance to win incredible prizes – the primary focus was on the grand prize , a 2023 Toyota Hilux valued at $186,000.
After much fanfare and eager anticipation from onlookers, the Grand Prize, which had been neatly decorated ,‘under wraps’ was unveiled to the ‘oohs and aahs’ from the gathering. And befittingly the occasion, local masqueraders stirred up the enthusiasm by dancing and weaving all among the guests as the event unfolded.
Digicel’s Marketing Manager, Kareem Louis brought the gathering ‘up to speed’ on the promotional package deals in store for the season, with focus on the grand prize of a splendid 2023 Toyota Hilux.
Rules of the game dictate that – to enter, customers simply need to activate a three-day Prime Bundle or higher, switch to Digicel, pay their bill in full and on time, or sign up for postpaid or Digicel Plus fibre internet. Each action earns points and entries, increasing the chances of riding away in the grand prize.
Cognizant of some of the challenges experienced, last year, Louis noted that the marketing unit rejigged the promotion this year, to better cater to its customers.
“A family can use it, a farmer can use it, a single mother can use it, a single father can use it, a bus driver can use it – anybody can use it,” declared Digicel’s marketing manager. “We said a HILUX! Let’s giveaway a Hilux. This year we made it happen, and we think that everybody’s going to actually be super excited about what we have in stock for our customers.”
He said, the Toyota Hilux was chosen as the grand prize due to its versatility, catering to various needs.
Other attractions were on display, and the ‘friendly and accommodating’ Digicel customer representatives were on hand to talk to prospective clients about these promotions.
Digicel customers can also participate in the “Pick and Win” game through the My Digicel app. Prizes include cash, handsets, groceries, hams, turkeys, and more.
According to a spokesperson, the higher the Prime bundle, the greater the chances of winning the Toyota Hilux. It’s turning Santa’s sleigh into an emblem of Digicel’s generosity this festive season.
The promotion is set to conclude on January 12, 2024 with a winner selected to take home the coveted 2023 Toyota Hilux.
Louis also unveiled other exciting Christmas offers from Digicel, including a double sim offer, where customers can purchase two linked sim cards for only $40, providing unlimited calls between them.
