Following a three-year hiatus, the Saint Lucia Premier League (SLP) T20 tournament is back on stream.
According to the organisers, the franchise-based tournament is scheduled to bowl off on October 13.
This year’s tournament has attracted the likes of West Indies players Johnson Charles and Andre Fletcher. The destructive opening pair will represent the 2019 runners-up South Castries Cricket Association (SCCA) and Rahkeem Cornwall is in to play for Gros Islet Knights (GIK).
Over the past weekend, the teams were involved in the player draft picking order before the official Player Draft scheduled for this coming Saturday at the Bay Gardens Marina Haven.
The eight franchise teams confirmed for this year are:
Group A: Micoud Eagles (ME), City Blasters (CB), Gros Islet Knights (GIK) and South Castries Lions (SCL).
Group B: Laborie Pride (LP), Soufriere Stumpers (SS), Mon Repos Pioneers (MRP) and 2019 defending champions Choiseul Craft Masters (CC).
