ANNUALLY, the Guyana and Trinidad Mutual Group of Insurance Companies Limited awards scholarships to children of policyholders. Students must qualify to attend the secondary school of their choice by attaining the required pass mark at the Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment.
The Scholarship remains in force for a period of five years, provided that the students maintain the required grades throughout their five-year tenure at the schools.
This year, the successful awardees are Sapphire Cornibert who currently attends the St. Joseph’s Convent School and Aylee Lafeuillee and Nydell Winter, who attend the Vieux-Fort Comprehensive Secondary School.
The students accompanied by their parents were presented with their cheques at the GTM Offices, in August 2023.
Cheques were also presented to previous recipients, who continue to maintain the required grades. Those include Dugier Poleon, Aden Eugene, Debian O’Brian, Yohance Charlery, Shiloh Canaii and Joshua Matthew.
