“THIS remarkable progress in the tourism sector anticipates a surplus in visitor arrivals compared to last year’s statistics, emphasizing the growing appeal of Saint Lucia among avid travelers,” noted a press release from the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority.
With ongoing efforts through the Caribcation brand, the destination is pleased with the frequency of service, via Inter-Caribbean from Barbados, St. Vincent, and Dominica, and the introduction of a four-times-weekly service from Barbados via Caribbean Airlines starting July 24.
According to the Authority, December is set to be an exceptional month, as an astounding number of 15,576 additional seats will be made available from the region.
“This significant increase in capacity offers ample opportunities for travelers to explore and experience the breathtaking natural wonders and captivating cultural delights of Saint Lucia.
“The increased number of flights from the Caribbean market greatly benefits Saint Lucia’s ongoing tourism recovery. The Caribbean market is essential to both locals and visitors, as it significantly contributes to the economy and offers numerous opportunities for growth and development,” stated the Authority.
“We sincerely thank the airline partners for their unwavering trust in our destination’s brand promise. As the travel industry rebounds from the past year’s challenges, increased flights from the Caribbean market will significantly contribute to the island’s economic revitalization”, said Hon. Dr. Ernest Hilaire, Minister for Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture & Information.
Caribcation, focused on attracting visitors from the region, eagerly looks forward to welcoming more travelers to Saint Lucia, where they can indulge in extraordinary experiences, embracing the island’s vibrant culture, awe-inspiring scenery, and renowned warm hospitality.
