SRDF Undertakes Operational Review

The Soufriere Regional Development Foundation (SRDF) is making strides to enhance its functions and operations to attain a realistic and performing entity. The Board of the SRDF has engaged KMA Consulting Ltd. for a practical solution. This engagement seeks to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the organisation’s operations.

“The scope of the engagement is to review the SRDF’s governance, management and operation’s systems, processes, and procedures. The expected outcome will be a more robust governance and management system, improved staff engagement, improved community engagement and improved financial performance,” said KMA Management Systems Consultant, Alison Gajadhar.

The auditing process is being conducted through a phased modality. The first approach incorporated a seminar with the Board Directors to apprise of role significance and function.

Operations Manager, Lester Cazaubon added, “The seminar was well received. There were various board governing concepts that were presented to help directors enhance the decision-making processes to realize greater output through assimilative business best practice for organisation viability and performance.”

Additional phases will encompass an external stakeholder engagement, manpower audit and fiscal management overview.

The Soufriere Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation located in Soufriere. Its mandate is to undertake social, economic, cultural, and other sustainable developments in the Soufriere region. The organisation which was established in 1993 generates revenues from its operational sites: the Sulphur Springs Park, Gros Piton Nature Trail, Comfort Centre, Soufriere jetties, 88.5 Soufriere FM, and Soufriere Beach Park.
