South Castries got the better of Anse la Raye for a clinical 2-nil win as matches in the Saint Lucia Football Association’s (SLFA) Inc. Island Super Cup, continued on Wednesday 9th March, at the Dennery Playing Facility.
Dillan Lucien scored in the 15th min and Ned Francois in the 2nd min of added on time, for the victory.
At the Phillip Marcellin Ground, in Vieux Fort, Vieux Fort North defeated Laborie 4 – 2. The host team out-performed their opponents with goals from Delan Fannis, Devan O’Brian, Lucesta Mitchel (penalty), and Jaylan Johnson in the 12th, 40th, 49th, and 87th min respectively.
In the other game played a Lamar Serieux strike in the 18th min. gave Micoud all three points against Choiseul.
Meanwhile, following the latest round of matches in the SLFA Inc. Island Super Cup, the points standings are as follows:
• St. Lucia Under 20 – 14 pts
• Vieux Fort North – 12 pts
• La Clery – 9 pts
• Micoud – 8 pts
• Anse la Raye – 7 pts
• Laborie – 7 pts
• South Castries – 7 pts
• Choiseul – 6 pts
The top four teams advance to the playoffs.
The leading goal scorer is Keegan Caul of the National U 20 with eight followed by Darrel Francis of Choiseul five; Kimani Serieux of Mon Repos and Dillan Lucien of South Castries four goals each.
Six other players have each scored three goals, namely, Daneo Caroo National U 20, Mc Arthur Louis from Mon Repos, Andrus Remy La Clery, Hanif Antoine Choiseul, Akeem Myers Vieux North and Jason Edwin.
