On Tuesday, March 8, 2022, firefighters responded to a distress call in the Marchand Boulevard at approximately 4:25p.m.
Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters found three structures, one of which was a wooden structure, fully engulfed and destroyed.
According to reports, the other two structures (concrete) were damaged, but not destroyed.
Firefighters were actively extinguishing the blaze at press time, with no reports of injuries or loss of life.
This has happened more than once and its becoming far too often – to the poorest of the poor, all due to negligence on the part of the Planning Dept. and the Government year after year. I fear if something is not done soon, no doubt it will happen again. Can the victims Sue the Government for lack of support? why not.
