SkyMax Cargo & InterPrime Air has announced a partnership with SwiftPac St. Lucia to offer weekly dedicated air cargo flights between Miami and St. Lucia.
The SwiftPac brand is operated by Caribbean Aviation & Logistics (SLU) Ltd.
The new cargo service commences the last week of August with flights between Miami and St. Lucia every Tuesday and Thursday with connections to St. Vincent (SVG), Grenada (GND) and Dominica (DOM).
According to General Manager of Swiftpac St. Lucia, Candice Francis, they will offer two flights per week with the possibility of a third as part of a strategy to participate in regional air cargo opportunities while addressing increased air cargo demand in the region. This will be in addition to Daily Courier & Small Package Shipment.
“We also operate an Inter-Regional hub in Barbados to allow trans-shipments to other Caribbean islands, starting with St. Vincent, Grenada and Dominica,” Francis said. “Operating our own aircraft positions us to increase the frequency and provide competitive rates not just for our commercial customers but for freight brokers as well.”
She added: “Since we provide air cargo and courier services throughout the Region, this was the next step. We will always aim to be competitive while providing reliable service to and from the region.”
It is expected that demand for the service will be high and that an inevitable third weekly flight will be added.
