RAINFOREST Adventures (RFA), the designated site for the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy in St. Lucia, Recently hosted a delegation from the International Conservation Caucus Foundation (ICCF) which included Lord John Randall from the United Kingdom’s House of Lords.
The objective of the delegation’s visit to the Park was two-fold. Firstly, the team sought to truly experience Rainforest Adventures and to acquire firsthand knowledge and appreciation of the Park and its many offerings. Secondly, the delegation wanted to have discussions on the oppor-tunities for collaboration with the ICCF in advancing conservation efforts.
The delegation was extremely impressed by the overall upkeep and preservation of the Park and Lord John Randall hailed Rainforest Adventures as “a hidden jewel.” He also added that he views the Park as being a well suited location for hosting annual school programmes to educate and sensitize school children on the rainforest canopy and birdlife in St. Lucia. Lord Randall cited that collaboration with stakeholders to facilitate this initiative would be paramount.
General Manager, Daryl Raymond remarked that “Rainforest Adventures looks forward to stra-tegic collaborations and is committed to continuing in its efforts for sustainability, conservation and awareness.”
