THE departure of Mayor Peterson Francis subsequent to the elections results is understandable. This is an appropriate time to congratulate the former mayor on a job well done.
Francis exhibited a level of determination, goodwill, and hard work for the last five years and his efforts should not go unnoticed based on the positive changes left behind.
The new mayor will undoubtedly walk into a well-structured atmosphere at City Hall which has been professionally designed making the city extremely proud of what a Mayor’s Complex should represent.
Hopefully, many of the positive changes created by Francis will be adopted and improved upon as time progresses. We take this opportunity to wish the new mayor, Mrs. Geraldine Lendor – Gabriel well.
She will need all the support necessary to ensure that the city receives the kind of attention required in light of all the challenges taking into account the enormous increase in COVID cases which will surely impact upon any city.
