SAINT Lucians will be experiencing a rainy weekend as another tropical wave moving westward at about 15 mph is expected to affect the Island on Sunday 22nd August 2021, a second Tropical Wave was further east and was moving westward at 18 mph.
According to Director of the Saint Lucia Meteorological Office, Andre Joyeux, “Saint Lucians can expect a wet weekend.”
At press time yesterday, certain portions of the island experienced scattered light to moderate showers and isolated thunderstorms.
On Thursday and Friday Saint Lucia was not spared as a tropical wave cause cloudy conditions with showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly over the central portion of the Lesser Antilles.
