Matches continued in the Saint Lucia Football Association (SLFA) Inc Boys Clubs Western and Southern Zone competition at both the Anse la Raye playing field (ALRPF) and the Phillip Marcellin Grounds (PMG) in Vieux Fort this past weekend.
Some of the major highlights: In the Western Zone Under 11s saw a 5 – 0 win for Monchy FC; in the Under 13 Northern Zone, Northern United won by a similar margin; in the Southern Zone Under 11s, DCYO defeated Uptown Rebels 7-0 with Kayne Marcellin scoring a hat-trick.
In the Western Zone Under 11: T Valley defeated NYAH FC 3 – 0 with a brace from Ottilan Lionel in the 11th and 27th minute, and Troy Prospere the 13th minute.
In another game, Monchy FC got the better of CT Foundation 5 – 0. There were braces from Kareen Francis in the 4th and 6th minute and Zehneil Micheau in the 9th and 40th minute and Nasri Alexander in the 12th minute.
In the day’s third encounter, 1987 All Stars defeated Flow Lancers 3 – 1, with goals from Kenroy Biscette 2nd, Barack Charles 8th and Collin Fedee in the 43rd minute.
Michel St. Clair scored for Flow Lancers in the 28th minute
Once again Boguis United was a no show for their encounter against Pioneers FC.
In Under 13 action: Northern United made light work of 1987 All Stars defeating them 5 – 0, with Thierry Morille scoring a brace in the 39th and 50th minute, Malik Louis in the 8th, Jordan Peter in the 27th and Daniel Zakhour in the 49th minute.
In the other game played RV Juniors emerged victorious over Northern United 2 – 0. Their goal scorers were Kalan Mathurin in the 29th and Ric Joseph in the 49th minute.
In the Southern Zone Under 11: DCYO hammered Uptown Rebels 7 – 0, with Kayne Marcellin scoring a hat trick. The other goal scorers were Paul James with a brace, Dominique Leon and Ashton Cammie with an own goal.
In the other game played, Knights and Panthers played to a goalless draw.
Under 13: Eagles and RYO played to a goalless draw.
In the other game, Panthers defeated Uptown Rebels 3 – 0. Their goals were scored by Clyonte Alcee with a brace in the 21st and 40th minute and Emani Butcher in the 44th minute.
In Under 17 action at the PMG, Platinum defeated OTR Strikers 4 – 0. They got their goals with a brace from Kimroy Monero in the 17th and 60th minute, Jamie Myers in the 7th minute and Jaheim Ferdinand in the 30th minute.
Also at the PMG Diamond Ballers defeated RYO 4-2, the goal scorers for Diamond Ballers were – Yoann William with a brace (2) in the 60th and 65th minute; Davian David in the 8th minute Mahelan Francis in the 14th minute. For RYO were – Claude Joseph in the 18th minute and Leze Ferdinand in the 42nd minute.
Black Panthers defeated Challengers 1-0, the goal scorer No.18 Inanco Sylvester.
Victory Eagles defeated Shamballa 4-1, the goal scorers for Victory Eagles were – No.10 Davel Edwards with a brace (2) in the 22nd and 48th minutes; No.21 Jeanil Collymore in the 20th minute and No. 13 Marlan Evariste in the 36th minute. For Shamballa No.24 Shaquan Charles scored an (Own Goal) in the 54th minute.
