MATCHES in the Safe Spaces Futsal Peace League continue today (Tuesday 24th) at Agard. From 6.00 p.m, Bois Den will come up against Leslie Land.
Despite the inclement weather, matches continued in the Safe Spaces Futsal Peace League competition over the weekend.
On Saturday September 21st at Agard, Grass Street and Ciceron played to a 2 – 2 draw. Scoring for Grass Street were Dalvin Raymond and Oman Florentville.
Dawson Williams scored both goals for Ciceron.
In the meantime, the spirit of peace, community and cooperation is rising thanks to the devoted sponsors.
Community workshops for conflict resolution and violence interruption were held on Saturday 21st September with teams from George Charles Boulevard and Wilton’s Yard.
According to Rise Saint Lucia Inc., both meetings were successful as they highlighted the challenges being faced by the communities as players aired their views. To this end, discussions are ongoing as to how best mechanisms can be quickly put in place to address the issues raised.
The community workshops are being facilitated through the efforts of USAID – CFYR and the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF).
