SENIOR political reporter of McDowall Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) and former President of the Media Association of Saint Lucia, Miguel Fevrier has been arrested and will remain in the custody of the state over the weekend.
Police confirmed to The VOICE that Fevrier was arrested Tuesday of this week for failing to abide by a previous court order that involved community service and making monthly payments until a precise amount was reached.
Attorneys for Fevrier tried unsuccessfully yesterday to have the court grant him an extension for meeting the payments.
Fevrier was picked up by police officers on the strength of a Commitment Warrant, which was issued by the court, the second such warrant The VOICE has learned that was issued.
Fevrier is likely to appear in court next week.
