THE Saint Lucia Rugby Football Union train will whistle its way to the Marigot Playing Field tomorrow for their National Federation Community 7s Rugby Final series scheduled to commence from 10a.m.
A number of SLRFU-affiliated members will compete in the one-day showpiece, including the likes of Whiptail Warriors RFC (male and female), Rogues RFC (male), Body Holiday RFC (female) and the VBCC Rugby Football Club (male and female) teams.
The last time the above-mentioned teams played each other was at the Magnificent 7’s International Rugby Tournament held at the Sab playing field in Vigie last month, an event put together by Whiptail Warriors Rugby Club.
Rogues Rugby Club’s male team was too hot to handle as they emerged champions, followed by Whiptail Warriors in second place.
In the female division, Body Holiday was a class act, as they out-ran their opponents to win, followed by Whiptail Warriors and VBCC Stingers, in that order.
According to the SLRFU, the purpose of this Community 7s match-up is to allow the Union to continue its growth and expose the sport of Rugby islandwide.
