Prime Minister, Allen Chastanet, has been addressing what he described on his Facebook Page as ‘propaganda and hype’ about him and Antigua and Barbuda leader, Gaston Brown.
Both men were in Jamaica for the 39th CARICOM Heads of Government summit.
Brown had been quoted recently as saying that Saint Lucia and Grenada had agreed to subsidise the loss-making regional airline, LIAT.
But Chastanet issued a statement asserting that Saint Lucia had made no such decision.
The Saint Lucia Prime Minister posted a photo of him and Brown embracing, and wrote: “Please don’t believe the propaganda and hype about the two of us.”
“We have been able to discuss the issues amicably in the interest of the peoples of the Caribbean,” Chastanet declared on his Facebook Page, adding: “One for all and all for one.”
He also posted what appeared to be a selfie with Barbados Prime Minister, Mia Mottley, asserting that it was ” great to have PM Mottley back working to unite the Caribbean.”
