Three Charged For Possession of Firearm and Ammunition
ON Sunday, December 24, 2017 about 6:30 p.m., officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) in Vieux Fort recovered one 9 mm pistol and two live rounds of ammunition at Bruceville, Vieux Fort.
Kim Raymond, 23; Prince Raymond, 20; and Jamisha Mondesir, 20 — all of Bruceville, Vieux Fort — were subsequently arrested and charged for the offences of possession of firearm and possession of ammunition.
Chopping Incident Leaves Black Bay Man Hospitalized
ON Monday last, about 8:30 p.m., officers from the Criminal Investigations Department in Vieux Fort received a report of Grievous Harm at Black Bay, Vieux Fort.
Jason Auguste of Black Bay, Vieux Fort, sustained wounds to his neck, head and a severed left index finger, as a result of a chopping incident. He is presently admitted at St. Jude’s Hospital in stable condition.
Investigations are ongoing in this matter.
La Guerre Man Chopped, Hospitalized
ON Sunday last, about 3:00 p.m., officers from the Babonneau Police Station responded to a report of grievous harm at La Guerre, Babonneau.
Mogaby Doxilie of La Guerre, Babonneau, sustained wounds to his right arm and also chest area, as a result of a result of a chopping incident. He is presently admitted at Victoria Hospital in a stable condition.
Investigations are ongoing in this matter.
Suspected Suicide At Bocage
ON Wednesday this week, about 9:56 a.m., officers from the Criminal Investigations Department in Castries received a report of a suspected suicide at Bocage, Castries.
Philip Epiphane, 51, of Carielle, Castries, was found in a prone position beneath a tree with a rope around his neck. He was subsequently pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.
This was the twelfth suspected suicide recorded for the year.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death are ongoing.
Chad Brice Post Mortem Results In
A post mortem examination was conducted on the body of Chad Brice, alias Chaddie, a thirty-year- old resident of Maynard Hill, Castries, who succumbed to injuries on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 following a shooting incident at Maynard Hill, Castries.
The examination revealed the cause of death to be traumatic brain injury secondary to gunshot wounds to the head.
Investigations into the matter are continuing.
This was the 55th homicide recorded for the year.
Man Injured In Christmas Day Shooting
ON Monday last, about 9:30 p.m., officers from the Special Services Unit in Vieux Fort, whilst patrol in Bruceville, responded to a report of a shooting at Bruceville, Vieux Fort.
Mario Cobb, a 22-year-old resident of Bruceville, who was found, lying on a footpath, sustained gunshot wounds to his neck and abdomen.
He was conveyed to the St. Jude’s Hospital via ambulance where he is presently admitted in stable condition.
Investigations are ongoing in this matter.
Yawn! Those 3 persons arrested for weapons and ammunition will be out soon. They will simply pay the customary $3,000 and promptly return to crime. It’s a big fat joke… except for the victims.
