
CONTINUING her good run on form, Saint Lucia’s three-time Olympian and multiple Sportswoman of the Year, Levern Spencer, secured another gold medal for 2017.
The IAAF and World Ranked No. 3 (behind Spain’s Beitia Ruth and Bulgaria DemirevaMirela) and the region’s number one high jumper leaped over 1.90 metres on Saturday at the Jamaica International Invitational Meet.
At the meet held in Kingston, Spencer finished ahead of Canada’s Alyxandria Treasure, who secured a silver medal, and United States’ Brigetta Barrett, who came in third.
In front of her home crowd, Jamaica’s Kimberly Williamson finished 5th, clearing a height of 1.85 metres.
