THE Palm Haven Hotel Conference Room in Bay Gardens will this evening host the Saint Lucia Football Association’s awards ceremony.
According to the SLFA over 120 individuals are expected to attend the function comprising clubs representatives , players, administrators, coaches, referees and media personalities..
According to SLFA General Secretary Victor Reid, the highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the prestigious awards to the junior and senior male and female footballers of the year.
Altogether 41 persons have been nominated for Sports Awards. The Vieux Fort South Football League under Emmanuel Bellas is in for a huge haul of this evening’s awards.
Reid said: “For the prestigious awards the individuals should have represented Saint Lucia with distinction performing at the national, regional and international level and at the same time exhibiting a high level of sportsmanship.”
For the Administrator of the year that individual must be a current member of an executive and have served for at least one year continuously.
