ST. LUCIA’S world ranked high jumper and reigning Sports Woman Of The Year Levern Spencer, opened her outdoor season with a gold medal winning performance in the United States.
Competing this past weekend at the Spec Towns Invitational in Athens, Georgia, the Caribbean’s premiere female high jumper had a very impressive start clearing 1.92 metres to win the gold medal.
Another St. Lucian high jumper JeannelleScheper placed second on the day after first time clearances at 1.80 metres and 1.83 metres and 3rd time clearances at 1.85 metres, 1.86 metres and 1.89 metres.
