SANDALS Halcyon Beach Resort continues to pay tribute to its outstanding employees with the recent hosting of its annual Prestige Awards when EmekaLeRiche was crowned the Diamond Talent of Year.
The Resort, which also operates as operates as a campus for the Sandals Corporate University, honoured LeRiche and her colleagues in a formal black-tie affair that sought to highlight their performances over the past year, that have caused the property to maintain its remarkable standing as a world-class 5 Star vacation destination.
General Manager for Sandals Halcyon Christopher Elliot, congratulated LeRiche for her outstanding contribution to Resort’s operations, citing her hands-on and dedicated approach both on and off the job.
The Diamond Talent works with Sandals Halcyon as the Coordinator of the property’s maintenance department – key to the property’s upkeep and guest satisfaction.
LeRiche officially joined Sandals Halcyon in 2014 but has worked closely with the Resort in a Human Resource and Training capacity for some time prior.
“This is truly an honour for me. It is not a job for me here. My team is an exceptional one and while working with all males might have its challenges, I won’t trade them for anything,” LeRiche said.
She is the first to receive this crown in Saint Lucia, ahead of Sandals Grande Saint Lucian and Sandals Regency La Toc Golf Resort & Spa, both of whom will crown their outstanding talents in the coming weeks.
The three will go on to represent the respective properties in an Ultimate showdown in Jamaica later this year where representatives from all Sandals and Beaches Resorts and other sister companies will gather for the overall crown and team face of the group.
Other outstanding talents recognized at Sandals Halcyon include Platinum Talent of the Year Ms.AnselmaDosseire from Club Sandals and Mr.Zanius Felix as ‘Mover & Shaker Talent of the Year for his outstanding improvement over the past year.
The Club Sandals Department also secured the A Team Award, sealing its standing as the most outstanding department.
Further, Ms. Agnes Ferdinand was again recognized as the Legendary Talent of the Year for her outstanding relationship with returning guests to the property, while Ms. Zenith Gaston coped the Circle of Joy Award for her amazing Sandals spirit.
Returning for another year was Mr. Chester Dupres whose commitment to charity and the wellbeing of others has for years made him an invaluable asset to the growth and development of the Sandals Foundation and its operations in Saint Lucia, securing him the coveted award.
Mrs.Cozia Willie, who has made an outstanding career for herself at Sandals Halcyon Beach was honoured with the Outstanding Ovation Award. Willie is an instrumental Human Resource professional who has grown considerably with the company.
Red Lane Spa Manager Ms. Kim D’Auvergne, stole the property’s MVP Award while her star therapist Ms. Dawn Alexander copped the Financial Controller’s Money Maker Award.
The Aqua Centre’s Mr.Yohanne Joseph secured the Pace Setter Award of the Year from the General Manager himself and The People’s Choice Award went to Food & Beverage Coordinator Ms. Lucy Monerville, while Mr. Niguel Gerald was recognized as the property’s All Rounder of the Year.
The Hotel Manger honoured Ms. Mary Jane Alexander with the Heart of the House Award while Environmental Health and Safety Manager recognized Mr. Edward Charles from the Grounds Department with the Earth Guardian Award.
This was the seventh annual Prestige Award for Sandals Halcyon Spa & Beach Resort.
